  League City United Methodist Church has been an important part of my life for the past 68 years since moving to League City as a small child.From early at the "old church" on 3rd and Illinois, i have watched growth, expansions, relocation, more growth, more expansions, and soon another relocation. Throughout these years LCUMC has been a warm and welcoming family built on a foundation of faith and love.There are many Sunday School classes for all age groups, study groups, and areas of outreach that enable members and guests to enjoy social contact, become stronger in their faith, and to serve others in the manner that their talents and interests find most comfortable.I could write on and on about the personal reasons that this church fellowship means so much to me, but instead, I will extend an invitation to anyone looking for a warm and supportive church home to join us and discover your own joyful reasons for being a part of this wonderful faith community.

  As a retired United Methodist clergy having served many small membership churches, I am familiar with how "warm and welcoming" we all are. But our first encounter was with a lovely lady with open arms and an invitation to a Sunday School class. Our second visit was equally warm from others (a bit closer to our age...still of advanced "wisdom"). We soon were deeply involved in their community ministry and understood that with all the warts a church always develops, this church leadership truly cares about spreading the love of Jesus Christ our Lord. And that was enough for us to stay and participate.

  This church family opens their arms to all. Multi generational Sunday School classes, youth & children's programs, Single adult ministry, choir/music ministries along with community service programs are just a few of the program's hosted at LCUMC. There is something for everyone with 3 services every Sunday.
